Brick Installation

Brick has a classic look that fits especially well with traditional and colonial-style homes across central North Carolina, and it holds up for generations when it's installed correctly. We lay brick in herringbone, basket weave, or running bond patterns depending on the look you're after and where it's going.

For walkways and patios that will see regular foot traffic, we typically set brick on a compacted sand base, which allows for natural drainage and easier future repairs if a section ever needs to be lifted and reset. For steps, walls, and structural features, we mortar the brick for a solid, permanent bond.

We also handle repair and repointing on existing brick features. If you've got a walkway or wall with loose or crumbling mortar joints, we can restore it rather than replace it, which is usually the more cost-effective route.
